What do you believe is the most impactful and immediate action your industry can take to Accelerate Gender Equality Through Economic Empowerment. (this is the theme for INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY in 2024)

One of the most impactful and immediate actions the payments industry can take to accelerate gender equality through economic empowerment is to ensure equal access and opportunities for women in financial services. This can be achieved by promoting diversity and inclusion within the industry, providing mentorship and training programs specifically tailored for women, and fostering a supportive work environment that encourages women to advance in their careers. Additionally, the payments industry can create products and services that cater to the unique needs of women, such as digital financial tools that promote financial literacy, savings, and investment opportunities. By empowering women to have greater control over their financial resources and enhancing their participation in the formal financial sector, the payments industry can play a significant role in narrowing the gender gap and promoting economic empowerment for women globally.
